The Mission

On Sunday, 18th January 2009, the administrators and teachers of Al Hidayah Islamic Pre-School held a meeting with the parents of current students. The purpose of the meeting was to brief the parents on an eviction order received from DBKL, the history behind the notice, and action plans to overcome the situation.

This website has been set up to serve as a repository of information on the eviction issue, to chronicle the actions taken to prevent a closing of the pre-school, and to advocate the cause to as wide an audience as people.

  2. My daughter, Hana Adleena has been to Al-Hidayah since last year (5 yrs old) & I can see drastic development in her social & academic life. She can read English & Malay books + jawi (short sentences), recite > 6 surahs' in mukaddam, recite > 5 doa's, perform prayers with complete doa iftitah & tahiyyat + half of doa qunut & talks about 'Jannah' as a place to be..:)

They are trained to be good muslims at a very young age & what impressed me is how Hana actually applies what she learnt in Al-Hidayah to her daily life.

This year, Hana's brother, Fahim joined her in Al-Hidayah.He's 4+ & alhamdulillah, he can recite doa makan, Al-Fatihah & surah Al-Ikhlas.

Thanks to Al-Hidayah teachers who work sincerely hard for the past 15 years & we hope that Al-Hidayah will remain safe forever...

  4. Al Hidayah has taught so many children and I am honoured to share how wonderful the school is and what beautiful people they have produced:

    1. Ali Imran, had learning difficulties and could not settle down at 2 kindergartens. When he went to Al Hidayah (his 3rd), he blossomed and has not looked back since. Now he is an amazing, respectful and warak 14 year old and is top in class in an International School in Yemen.!!

    2. Hadi, who will be 12 this year. Al Hidayah brought out the best in him and instilled in him from such a young age that aqidah must be nurtured. He has been excelling in "Agama" in SK Bukit Damansara and has been Head Prefect at the Sekolah Rendah Agama Saidina Umar Al-Khattab, Bkt Dsara, for the past 2 years. He has been awarded "pelajar contoh" many times and at last year's UPKK (similar to UPSR) he was the top scorer with 7As and 1B.

    3. Afiq, will be 9 this year. He was a handful and was more intent on playing than learning but the Al Hidayah teachers helped him focus and by the time he graduated from Blue Class (6 years old), he was reading the opeining doa at Ihtifal. He is scoring straight As in SKBD now. He is courteous, funny and hard working. He loves school and adores his friends.

    4. Haziq, who is also 9. By the time he graduated, he was one of the few Blue Class (6 year old) students who could recite the 3 Quls and Suratul Qursi by heart. He is such a genius and has been consistently top 5 in his Year since he left Al Hidayah and went to SKBD. He is such a wonderfully normal and well-adjusted child despite his academic excellence. He has just been made prefect this year at SKBD.

    5. The teachers at SKBD have told me personally that they can always recognise Al Hidayah students, as they have a certain personality and manner about them. They are calmer, more confident, more focused and settle in very quickly to standard 1 than most other students. They are also normally better behaved. When they assess a student and find out he/she is from Al Hidayah, the common reaction is "No wonder!!/Patutlah". They can always tell them apart.

Al Hidayah MUST be saved, as losing it would mean a major loss not only to the Bukit Damansara community and will leave a huge hole in the preschool education sector. It is the ONLY ENGLISH MEDIUM ISLAMIC PRESCHOOL in the City Centre area. With such challenges facing our UMMAH now, we need ALL the help we can get to nurture our future generation..

  5. Adam Hakeemi is currently in Blue Class... He joined Al-Hidayah since he was 4 (in 2007).. This year is his final year in Al-Hidayah before leaving for SKBD (Insha Allah)...

The school has taught him well :-)I really appreciate what the teachers have done to help my son to go through the (educational) journey...

His brother Fahd will be 4 next year... and surely, I plan to send him to Al-Hidayah... I want Fahd to experience what his brother has experienced...

  6. The question now I guess is, since Al Hidayah has not reneged on any of the conditions imposed on it throughout the years and it has duly complied with the conditions of its annual Development Order issued by DBKL (DO), nor has it changed the premises in any way that would render the DO void, what are the grounds for the eviction?

  8. I remember when my daughter s bit "gagap" when she first join AlHidayah , I would like to thanks to teacher Hamidah for her passion and love to listen to my daughter .. Teacher Hamidah trained her and now Nadia is a very talkative and outspoken girl, she never need to repeat her words again.. Thanks for your advise too.. Thanks for all the help. Teacher Hamidah .. I wish I could return back all your help.
As this is my second year with AlHidayah .. I begin to trust and believe in their passion of love for the children, last year, I invited Puan Fauza (the principle) to help organize Kem Pintar Soleh- a school holiday program children of for BAKTI (Badan Kebajikan Islam Kakitangan Bank Negara). It was on school holiday back in Dec 2008, the project was successful and everyone was very happy.
All these begin from a simple friendship; AlHidayah has shared and brought opportunity to learn in a very unique way to other children at other places too. The program was based on Islamic value blended with science experiments.. Thanks to AlHidayah once again.
Lastly this is not just a school..like any other school.. they are teacher that teach with love and passion and “kerana Allah”. I think.. saving the school is a Jihad too.
